Fascinating UFO

Our UFO is not out of a science-fiction film; even so, visitors marvel at the structure that was created for the 2005 National Garden Show in Munich. What Corocord has created is a circular Large Area Net with an inner ring suspended in space around a bright orange climbing rock. The visual effect is as if the net is about to lift off for a journey to the stars.

Engineering instead of special effects

However, the UFO is not the outcome of Hollywood-style special effects, but of the many years of experience and the expertise of our engineers. A net structure thought through to the very last detail ensures the necessary tension on the innermost rope ring so that the surface of the Large Area Net always remains taut.

User-friendly innovation

The ropes used in this project are connected to the inside of the circular climbing wall, which also serves as the foundation of the UFO net. Our specialists developed new adapter plates specially for this structure that make it possible to readjust the net tension from the front of the points of anchorage.
