National projects: Climbing through the Trees
Out of the net and into the trees
Climbing these trees is explicitly allowed: Three lime trees form the heart of the "Climbing through the trees" project at the Frankenwald Regional Garden Show in Kronach, for which Corocord created an intelligent connection between rope nets and trees in 2002. Here the trees are an integral part of the play world without, however, any loads being placed on them by the equipment.
Rope net forming an airy level
The basic element of the world of climbing between the ground and the treetops is a steel frame with high posts placed around the lime tree trunks. This forms the basis of a structure of horizontally taut ropes nets, creating two airy levels extending right up to the trunks. Users can climb directly into the trees from the rope net.
Protection and tranquillity
Close-meshed, reinforced safety nets complete the structure: they enclose the climbable space on the sides and upwards, providing safety for the children and protection for the treetops. There are additional membranes high up in the structure that provide a place to take a break after the exciting tour of exploration through the nets and branches.
