News: GaLaBau2008 – A resounding success right down the line!
The numbers of visitors who flocked to our stand in Hall 1 exceeded our wildest expectations. This is where we presented the latest products from our range of innovative rope play equipment to an audience of experts. With 982 exhibitors in an exhibition space of over 100,000 m², and more than 62,000 visitors in four days, the Nuremberg Trade Fair for Urban Green and Open Spaces is the biggest event of its kind in Europe. So it was only natural that this year too Corocord’s Spacenet Inventors would once more be right in the thick of the action!
Exercise Nets and Forest Bridges – our Highlights at the Fair
Our stand at the fair embodied the new corporate design the Corocord company has adopted and gave pride of place to two of our brand new products – the Exercise Net and the Forest Bridges.
The Exercise Net is a masterful combination of four novel innovative elements with proven Corocord rope architecture that ushers in a whole new dimension of climbing in spacenets – it’s rope play equipment specially built with all those little budding “top athletes” in mind. The sheer diversity of components and the special high-impact construction with its focus on sports ergonomics are the two main features, which place our new Exercise Net truly in a class of its own.
On the other hand, our Forest Bridges are designed to awaken one of humankind’s most primal instincts – tree climbing. The bridges form a play area suspended over the ground and supplemented by space nets hung in the trees.
Both these product highlights aroused keen interest among planners and constructors alike. But not only that: the giant model of our Climbing Parkour and the other top of the range products from our Berlin spacenet manufactory also excited wide admiration and gave the opportunity for quite a number of interesting talks.
Exceptionally gratifying – 90 percent of visitors are key decision-makers!
Over the four days of the fair we were able to reach numerous visitors connected with gardening, landscaping and playground construction as well as numerous landscape architects and developers from both the public and the private sector. The high level of specialist knowledge shown in the talks and the animated exchanges of ideas we held gave us a confident feeling that the results of the trade fair survey have only served to confirm – approximately 90 percent of attendees at the fair are key decision-makers in the procurement and buying departments of their authorities and companies. In this way we were able to make a number of interesting and highly promising new business contacts.
Not the least of the reasons for the overwhelming satisfaction of the exhibitors for playground equipment in Hall I was the decision of the trade fair management to launch a special PLAYGROUND section at this year’s fair with a dynamic promotional campaign in the run-up for operators of playgrounds and leisure facilities across the whole of Europe.
By way of conclusion it only remains for us to say that we’re already eagerly looking forward to GaLaBau 2010!
