Corocord designs special model for Regional Garden Show 2013 in Tirschenreuth

Tirschenreuth, in the Upper Palatinate, slightly to the east of Bayreuth, was once truly a town surrounded by water. In former times, only the historic district and the monastery rose above the extensive aquaculture that characterised the majority of the landscape. Even today, the Fischhof bridge located here bears witness to historical conditions – the former expanses of water are today blossoming as extensive park grounds. The past will now be brought to life within the scope of the Regional Garden Show 2013: two artificial ponds are planned directly next to the public park. On this outstanding occasion, the Corocord company has produced a one-off special "Fish Trap" model, to designs by landscape architects gekes.hack.

It was all done by the end of July: the "Fish Trap" was assembled. This extraordinary object consists of two interlaced networks of robust Corocord rope and steel frames, which taper towards the middle. Yet the exclusive shape is not the only thing that distinguishes this special climbing structure. Two additional innovations were used here. The rubberized polyurethane turnbuckles provide additional contact protection and exceptional traction control. And the Corocord membranes designed just for this equipment have a very individual look: a "netted" shoal of fish was cut out of the material using a high-pressure water jet. In that way this proven material not only perfectly suits Corocord's concept of safety and materials but also fits seamlessly into the surrounding world of design.

The rope play equipment can be found in the play world called "Fischers Fritz" at the Regional Garden Show, and is an invitation to children aged between 5 and 12 to climb, move hand over hand, and explore. The Corocord "Fish Trap" is also in the best of company here: not far from the innovative equipment can be found a wooden fish sculpted by Gisbert Baarmann, which is also an incitement to investigate. Naturally, the "Fish Trap" meets Corocord's high quality standards laid down in the company's SafePlay and ErgoPlay policies, which always guarantee valuable, safe and ergonomic play.
